Wild Tales was born out of Annie’s love for nature and animals, especially our four-legged furry companions. This intricate relationship between humans and their furry friends serves as a constant source of inspiration for Annie’s work.
With a background in surface pattern design, Annie loves using abstract forms and shapes in her work. This allows her to fill her creations with layers of meaning and hidden messages, inviting viewers to come up with their own interpretation. Annie sees art as a playful and interactive experience, and she aims to create pieces that encourage viewers to engage with them with a sense of curiosity and discovery. Her ultimate goal is to foster a deeper appreciation for art, animals, and nature through this engagement.
Annie’s first solo show will feature original paintings and limited-edition art prints for sale. You’re invited to experience Annie’s world of colour, form, and imagination.
ABOUT LEMONNI
Annie is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist from Vancouver and Squamish. She founded LEMONNI, an art and design studio, in 2013 to infuse homes with happiness through patterns and colours. Her style, described as whimsical and reminiscent of the 60s, features motifs with crisp lines and a soft retro palette, often inspired by nature and animals. LEMONNI embodies Annie’s fusion of Eastern and Western influences, reflecting her Taiwanese roots and Canadian upbringing. Born in Taiwan, she immigrated to Canada at 15, initially pressured into conventional career paths. However, her time in London post-university allowed her to explore her passion for design, leading her to establish her studio. Since then, she has collaborated with renowned brands like Crate & Barrel and LG, showcasing her artistic flair through diverse projects, from product design to mural painting.
