Would you judge me if I told you I already put up my Christmas tree? It’s not even that I’m bursting with yuletide cheer; there’s just nothing like the ambient glow of my baby pink tree to get me through these darker months. No matter how you decorate or celebrate the holiday season, I hope all you dear readers have that special ritual that keeps you going into the new year.

This Friday, Nov. 28, Health Initiative for Men (HIM) is hosting HUSTLE, a night of drag, pole and burlesque performances to spotlight and celebrate Vancouver’s sex work community. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and all proceeds from tickets and the silent auction will go towards humanitarian aid in the Philippines and the YMCA BC.

NARRATIVES OF RESISTANCE FILM FEST ☆ The Narratives of Resistance (NOR) Film Festival is coming to Vancouver this Sunday, Nov. 30. The festival, which previously ran in London, Vienna, Toronto and more, features rare and archival films that explore the lives and resistance of refugees in Palestine. Each of the seven screenings will be followed by a short discussion with local activists.
