Cosmic Forecast: April 2026

Hopefully you were able to find personal periods of rest and reflection in March because April brings more of the regular chaos. Aries season represents the start of the astrological new year and invites an “all systems go” energy. Although the Sun is happy in Aries, it is normal to feel a bit wonky since its ruler, Mars, is still floating through Pisces until April 9. This month is particularly significant because Mars, Mercury and the Sun will enter Aries, highlighting the sign of the key transit of the next two years—the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, whose effects we’ve seen manifested in multiple historic events involving the violation of bodies, borders and basic human rights.

On April 1, there is a Full Moon in Libra focusing on your relationship to money and indulgence. Beware of overspending on this day. You don’t need to spend money on a new wardrobe, hair or nails. Is going into debt worth keeping up appearances in your career and family? Why might it feel like it costs more to be honest about our reality instead of splurging on escapism? This full moon speaks about currencies. Money isn’t the only currency. There also exists time, emotional capacity and privacy. Use this time to think about your priorities.

On April 9, Mars enters its home sign of Aries. The planet will be conjunct Neptune on April 13 and Saturn on April 19. Conflicts become easier to manage, and plans move quicker, a renewed energy you might have been waiting for since the new year. Mercury also moves into Aries on April 14 and will meet Neptune, Mars and Saturn. After reflective weeks of planets being in Pisces, now is the time to launch. Sometimes the best way to learn is to dive without a plan.

On April 16, the Sun conjuncts Chiron. It will illuminate the Aries part of your chart that you have been working on strengthening since 2018. Chiron is the Wounded Healer, and its placement in a natal chart represents one of the deepest traumas someone will experience, which also has the potential to be a source of deep healing. For example, if Chiron is placed in your 11th house, you may have grown up finding your deepest hurt in friendships and community, which might have pushed you into isolation at some point. With focus, you can grow into an empathetic person who brings people of all walks of life together. Take it easy around this day, as you might find yourself more reflective and sensitive.

The energy of the New Moon in Aries happening the following day, the Mars-Saturn conjunction and the Sun moving into Taurus on April 19 supports integration and empowerment from the information we learn about ourselves. While Aries focuses on action in general, Taurus focuses on embodiment and making actions sustainable. The end of April invites conversations around shared values in our communities and organizing  revolutionary action.

Finally, Uranus will re-enter Gemini on April 25 until 2033, further signalling revolutionary changes around technology, education and communication. We saw glimpses of this  transit last July. In the coming 7 years, there will be rapid changes to how we communicate, education reform especially around elementary and high school education, as well as travel. Key historical events relating to this transit were the American  Revolutionary War, American Civil War, The Reformation, the invention of the telescope, the opening of the first public library and the introduction of the transatlantic cable, telegraph and computers, to name a few. What comes next? 3D holograms on our phones? Rallies protesting AI and their violations on human rights? The possibilities are endless.

Glossary / Legend:

Transit: The ongoing movement of any given planet through the zodiac

Conjunction: In astrology, a conjunction is when two planets meet and work on a project together. Just like people, the planets may or may not work well together. When a conjunction is exact, it points to a climax of the relationship between the two planets.

Pisces: A water sign ruled by Jupiter, Pisces is known as being imaginative, lacking boundaries and sensitive. This sign naturally rules the 12th house, representing spirituality, illusion and karma.

Mars: This planet governs your drive and conflict style. This influences how you assert yourself, how you act when you are angry, and how ambitious you are.

Neptune: This planet governs imagination, illusion and spirituality. It is a slow moving,  generational planet that showcases societal trends and ideals.

Saturn: This planet governs time, limitations and hard work. Its placement in one's astrological chart reveals where there are significant challenges of which only ease with maturity.

Mercury: This planet governs the mind, including how we think, speak, write and process. Its placement in one’s astrological chart reveals one’s unique style of communication.

Uranus: This planet governs change and disruption. Like a shock of cold water to the face, this planet is all about unexpected shakeups and creative innovation. It governs revolution,  rebellion and a general sense of breakthrough!

Chiron: While not fully a planet and more of an asteroid/comet, Chiron represents the Wounded Healer in astrology, and its placement in a natal chart represents one of the  deepest traumas someone will experience, which also has the potential to be a source of deep healing.
