Mood Swing (November 6, 2025)

It’s that unfortunate time of year when we must fight the horrors of daylight savings. By the time I clock out of work, the sun has left us and dusk is already sweeping over the city. With the looming darkness, it takes effort to spend time outside and I can go days without breathing fresh air.
But it’s not all bad! More time inside means more time to read those neglected books on the shelf, call your parents and do other things that are easier to put off when you’re having fun in the sun. So clean out your closet! Write a poem! Make some art! And don’t forget to subscribe to the Mood Swing newsletter to get the list straight to your inbox every Thursday!
TRANSFORM FESTIVAL ☆ Back for its sixth year, TRANSFORM Festival brings two weekends of world-class theatre, music, drag, circus, comedy and more, focused on empowering Indigenous artists. The first weekend kicks off this Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Vancouver Playhouse with a variety show starring local drag legend Jaylene Tyme.
