Roses! Chocolate! Love hearts! Handwritten love notes! It’s all so painfully yet charmingly sentimental.

SPEED DATING ☆ Sick of swiping but longing for love? Check out Slice of Life’s special Valentine’s edition of their Single Slice speed dating this Thursday, Feb. 12! Enjoy low-pressure, five-minute chats with everyone in the room and anonymously mark your matches. MORNING DISCO ☆ Morning people rejoice! Morning Disco is hosting a Valentine’s daytime party this Sunday, Feb. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Vintage and Provisions. Come right at 11 a.m. for a dance class, sip a coffee or a cocktail and groove to music from DJs MAMALIA, Softieshan and Niña Mendoza. Partial proceeds go to Black Arts Vancouver.
