Cosmic Forecast: March 2026

Compared to last month, March days will feel a bit calmer, but in the sense of preparing for more drastic transits happening in the spring and summer. The remnants of the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries that happened late last month are still at play, which highlight themes of empowerment, accountability, strength and autonomy. Keep in mind that with these words, and any words in the cosmic forecasts, their counterparts are also highlighted. For example, while you are being pushed to empowerment, there is most likely a dire situation propelling that story.

On March 3, there is a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo, signifying a good time to check in with your health, prioritizing your routines and closing out chapters for a few days. It is ruled by Mercury in Pisces, which went retrograde on February 26. Mercury retrograde itself is two weeks, but its effects last two weeks before and after the retrograde. When a planet is retrograde, its energy is turned inwards. Mercury is already not very happy in the sign of Pisces as the planet itself governs the mind, including how we think, speak, write and process; whereas Pisces is a watery, free flowing sign that knows no bounds. In general, it’s best practice to double check everything communication-related and to think before you speak. It’s also normal for technology to go haywire. The eclipse is conjunct the Sun and trine Jupiter, making the days around March 3 a great time for finishing up creative work. The same day, Mars also enters Pisces, joining the Sun, Mercury, Venus and the North Node in this sign. When so many planets are in Pisces, there is a tendency for escapism, so don’t worry if you don’t have anything figured out for most of this month. Just try to let things play out.

On March 6, Venus enters Aries, adding fire and impatience when it comes to what you desire. It will be in mutual reception with Mars in Pisces until the end of the month, which means that both planets are depending on each other for support. This calls for tension between deciding when the best moment is to act. Where Mars in Pisces wants to intuitively decide when to act, Venus in Aries wants it to happen right now.

On March 11, Jupiter goes direct in Cancer and momentum builds in the house(s) ruled by this sign in your chart. For example, if Cancer rules your 9th house, themes around travel, higher education, spirituality and the mind will be highlighted. Jupiter is very happy in the sign of Cancer as the planet’s goal is to expand and Cancer’s fertile, nurturing energy provide the ideal environment for Jupiter’s purpose.

On March 21, Mercury goes direct and you can expect communication to become clearer. The Sun also moves into Aries this day, joining Neptune, Saturn and Venus. Compared to Pisces’ laid-back nature, Aries is the go-getter and you can expect the days to become more exciting, as they always do leading up to the spring equinox.

Overall, this month is a bit of a breather on a personal level. Pisces naturally rules the 12th house, the last house in the zodiacal wheel, and invites introspection, closing chapters and lounging around in your fantasies, which is equally important as being grounded in reality. This month best supports growing spiritually and intuitively so that we can prepare ourselves for the rest of the year that will fly by. If there’s a year to find pockets of joy, it’s 2026.
